El Talismán (The Talisman) is an upcoming 2012 telenovela co-produced by Venevision and Univision Studios, starring Blanca Soto and Rafael Novoa as the main protagonists,[1] and Aarón Díaz, Lola Ponce, and Marcela Mar as the main antagonists.[2] Univision had announced that El Talismán would air on the network as part of the 2011–2012 programming schedule,[3][4] and was confirmed to air in 2012 on November 11, 2011.[5]
Camila Nájera and her family lost everything due to the gambling debts of her father Esteban, his wife Elvira leaves him and he decides to quit the game and restart his life elsewhere.
To leave behind the bitter past and start all over again, the family moves from Texas to California. What they didnt know is that near the small town of Fresno, stands towering the ranch El Alcatraz, whose owner, Gregorio Negrete, lives in constant war with Bernardo Aceves and his daughter Mariana, owners of El Talisman, which borders the ranch with Alcatraz.
At Rancho El Talisman, arrives from Tijuana, Pedro Ibarra, who comes to America to find work and send money to "Las Casitas", an orphanage where he grew up. On the way to the United States, he is chased and wounded in the leg. Mariana and Bernardo (Father and daughter and ranch owners of El Talisman) help him and offer him work. Pedro decides to work hard for El Talisman, and begins working at the ranch, and defending Bernardo from the hateful attacks from his neighbor Gregorio.
Camila and her family ignore all this when they buy El Talisman from Bernardo who secretely sells it to them. The reason that Bernardo sells the Talisman is because he doesn't want to leave his daughter Mariana helpless, to make things harder she is expecting a baby from the son of Don Gregorio, Antonio.
Pedro who is very thankful, will do everything possible to help Mariana, but his heart has belonged to Camila since the first moment he saw her. However, there are secrets and promises that only the walls of El Talisman know and will test the love of Camila and Pedro.
